On the occasion of Children’s day, Google India has come up with a new doodle on its homepage to celebrate the young talent. The speciality of this doodle is the creator is an 11-year-old girl, Anvita Prashant Telang from Vibgyor High School, Balewadi, Pune. Every year Google comes up with Doodle Google competition for children’s day in India, and this happens to be the Doodle 4 competition.

The theme for her submission of Doodle is “If I could teach anyone anything, it would be”. The competition has seen entries from over fifty cities which were evaluated on artistic merit, creativity and theme communication and other parameters. The winner was announced based on the judgement of a panel of four judges and public voting for ten days.

Twelve doodles made by kids were shortlisted as national finalists. The contestants were grouped into three categories, Group 1 with students from Class 1 to 3, Group 2 consisting students from Class 4 to 6 and Group 3 with students from Class 7 to 10.

“With ‘Doodle 4 Google’ competition, we aim to promote creativity, passion and imagination in younger users. We congratulate Anvita for being judged as the winner this year,” Sapna Chadha, Head of Marketing, Google India, mentioned in a statement.

“In the current stressful times, greatest joys of life are often hidden in simple things. Thus I would like to teach everyone to take time to enjoy every moment of life and appreciate the simple things around us,” said Anvita Telang.

The other winners include B Shrisha, from Visakhapatnam for her doodle ‘Indoor Gardening’.

Akashdeep from, Ranchi won the Grades 7-10 category for her doodle titled ‘Water Conservation for A Better Tomorrow.’
