Gionee has unveiled the A1 smartphone at a launch event in India on Tuesday. The smartphone was earlier showcased at MWC 2017 as Gionee’s new ‘A’ series. The company claims that the A-series smartphones will provide a long lasting battery life and great selfies. Interestingly, Gionee A1 smartphone come with a two-year warranty and a JBL headphone or a Swiss Military Bluetooth speaker.
Gionee A1 features a 5.5-inch FHD IPS display with 1980×1080 pixels resolution. The display is protected with a 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass 3 on top. The device is powered by a MediaTek Helio P10 processor coupled with 4 gigs of RAM. It also sports 64 GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card slot. The handset measures 154.5×76.5×8.5mm in dimensions and weigh around 182 grams.

The smartphone runs Android 7.0 Nougat with the company’s Amigo OS on top. On camera font, Gionee A1 packs 16-megapixel front facing the camera with fixed-focus, f/2.0 aperture, and flash. Another 13-megapixel rear camera is also provided with auto-focus and f/2.0 aperture and flash.
Gionee A1 is backed by a 4010mAh battery as the company claims that Gionee A-series is all about selfies and battery. The ultrafast-charging option gains back the battery completely in a couple of hours. Gionee A1 price in India is yet to be unveiled by the company, but it would be price above Rs 20000. The company has listed the price at EUR 349 (Rs. 24,600 approximately) in MWC.
