Facebook joins with the Unity technologies and company made announcement today. Facebook will develop the PC gaming platform for the Desktop in association with Unity.  With this move, users might move out from steam and offer up an application which is used to find and play latest and new games.

This is not the first time for the Facebook to enter into the desktop gaming application. Earlier in this year, Facebook has entered into the Facebook Games Arcade beta. Currently, Facebook and Unity are looking to make the things considerably easier for the developers for offering the games to the Facebook’s enormous fans and followers, who are more than 650 million players can enjoy the Facebook-connected games each month.

This announcement from the Unity says the launching of the new developer tools is to assist in exporting the Unity 5.4+ games to the Facebook. The steaming line process of exporting and publishing will certainly bring the huge number of mobile games ports. Hence this will help Facebook make its place strong not only in the social network but also in the gaming platform. With this Unity, developers can quickly deliver their games to the Facebook users.

Facebook is allowing a limited group of developers to access the closed built of new export to Facebook functionality in Unity version 5.4. Facebook already started releasing this feature to those limited users. These new developers will be on-boarded in the ongoing basis throughout the testing period.

The interested developers also have an opportunity; they can apply by August 31, 2016, for requesting the immediate access. Once they receive, they can begin testing the new alpha build of new export Facebook functionality in the Unity Editor.
