DataWind has announced the latest addition to its product lineup. New MoreGMax 3G6 smartphone unveiled by John Tory, Mayor of Toronto, Canada, during his visit to India. Also, he visited the Datawind state of the art at Hyderabad during his visit. The phablet form factor device comes with entry level specs and great design. MoreGMax 3G6 price in India is Rs 5999.

“Today we’ve added a phablet to our lineup with a huge screen that meets the need of people wanting a rich internet experience on their handset. We at DataWind want to cater to the forgotten billion, those that have been left out of the growth and prosperity that India is witnessing.” Suneet Singh Tuli, President & CEO of DataWind Inc. said at the launch.

The manufacturer has partnered with Reliance Communications in the earlier year to release the phablet with bundled RCOM’s service. This service offers free internet access for one year, and information about FUP is unknown yet.

DataWind MoreGMax 3G6 features a 6-inch point and gesture touchscreen display. The device is backed by a 1.3 GHz Quad Core processor and is coupled with 1GB RAM. It boasts 8GB of internal memory and can be extended up to 32 GB with the microSD card.

On camera font, MoreGMax 3G6 flaunts 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. Another 2-megapixel front-facing camera is provided for shooting selfies. The device has all basic connectivity options along with dual SIM support. Sadly, DataWind didn’t provide 4G support in the MoreGMax 3G6 smartphone. As of now, the company hasn’t unveiled details about which battery does it packs.

The DataWind’s MoreGMax 3G6 comes only in Black color. It would be really a tough task for DataWind to compete with the newly launched Xiaomi Redmi 4A. Eventually, the Chinese device gets more specifications with the same price tag.
