CBSE has announced the notification about New Assessment structure and exam pattern for class 6 to 9. Recently they have done some modifications in the structure of 10th class. Now in the same way they are restoring new CBSE Assessment pattern for class VI to IX. This new pattern was adopted to increase the confidence levels in the students.

Like in the Xth class, the same pattern was introduced in the CBSE class 6 to 9. Students who belong to CBSE family won’t feel inconvenient after transferring to another CBSE school because same kind of syllabus, environment and behavior is observed in all schools around the country.

Central Board of Secondary Education decided to implement this CBSE Assessment pattern. These new methods are introduced to standardize the teaching and evaluation across the schools.

Under the CCE scheme in 2009, they have introduced this uniform system of assessment structure, exam pattern and report cards. In this sixty percent of assessment was pen and paper test 40 per cent formative assessment during the year was the continuous evaluation by teachers based on various activities.

Now according to the new structure, they are two terms, but pen and paper test will be 90 percent including 80 marks for half yearly or annual exams. Remaining 20 marks for periodic assessment

CBSE said this change has adopted to increase the quality of education. They are preparing students from 6th class to attend for 10th class exams very confidently. The mains objective of this structure is improve the knowledge of the subject.
