BSNL is moving towards the Digital India. They have introduced the online process to take the new connection, without reaching office you can get a connection and no need to submit hard copies of proofs. By using biometric data and aadhar card number they are providing a new connection.
BSNL Mysore District General Manager K.L. Jayaram said “From now onwards customers no need to provide photocopies of identity proofs. All we need is aadhar card number and finger print impression, after matching finger print, authentication will provided. It takes the time of minutes. “

He also said BSNL is providing high-quality optical fiber network services to customers. It means it is delivering high-speed broadband ranging between 256 mbps and 100 mbps. In Mysore about 2,500 customers are currently having optical fiber connections.
They are providing the wifi hotspots in around Mysore Palace. BSNL is also planning to install seven wifi spots in the palace and surrounding palace.
