India’s largest telecommunication service provider Bharti Airtel has launched special 4G data pack for 90 days.

Unlike Reliance Jio, the special 4G pack is not for free, and users can avail this at the cost of Rs.1495 for 90 days. The deal offers a data of 30GB per month. Speed will be reduced to after exceeding the limit of 30GB due to fair usage policy. Corresponding usage speed after the limit will redirect to 2G

The offer is available for the existing users of Airtel for Rs.1495. The company has introduced the offer for the new users as well through the first recharge of Rs.1494. Airtel officials mentioned that the company is making it move to serve 4G customers.

Sunil Bharti Mittal Re-appointed as Bharti Airtel Chairman

“At Airtel, we are focused on providing high value to customers. Customers with 4G handsets consume large amounts of data, and this proposition is specifically aimed at them. With this pack these customers can stay online round the clock without having to worry about exhausting their data limits or going for frequent recharges,” says Ajai Puri, Director of Operations (India & South Asia) at Bharti Airtel.

However, Airtel is offering the tariff plan only in Delhi and reportedly announced that the launch across the country circles would take place in the next few days. It seems the plan is much similar to Reliance Jio offer of Rs.50 per GB. Technically, 1495 plan from Airtel comes around the same Rs.50 per GB when calculated considering the time bound and usage limit.

This is also not for the first of its kind from the telecom providers, as we are observing the price war since the announcement of Reliance Jio Preview Offer. Jio 4G launch made a way to new offers from telecom providers which would benefit customers.
