Apple is planning to launch its first ever Bug bounty programme with rewards up to $200,000. It is one of the much-awaited campaign from Apple after its announcement at the Black Hat cyber-security conference in Las Vegas.

The programme offers cash rewards for exploiting errors in the updated version of iOS and the latest generation of hardware. Bug bounty program is about to launch in the month of September.

Apple is organizing this Bug detection campaign, which is open exclusively for researchers who disclosed vulnerabilities earlier. However, new researchers can also come up with useful disclosures as the company is always receptive about fixing odds.

This is going to be the first Bug detection program launched by the Apple. And till now, the company completely relied on their security team and researchers.Apple never looked out for any external sources for handling the security related issues.

The Tech giant had faced some criticism after police purchasing an undisclosed vulnerability to break security measures.The cops had done this during the investigation of an alleged killer in San Bernardino.

The program is limited to five categories of Bugs, and the most valuable one is rewarded with a cash prize up to $200,000. It is reported that the highest paid category likely to be the secure book firmware components. Researchers should provide a proof-of-concept on the latest iOS and hardware. The Bug bounty program is major step in the right direction by the company.

Bug bounty programmes are being increased among the tech companies and getting much popular. Recently, an Indian hacker found a bug in Twitter vibe and reported it to the company.
