To mark the first death anniversary of our legendary ‘Missile Men of India,’ Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, former Indian President and scientist, APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) is all set to arrange a two-day youth seminar on environment protection.

In memory of the ‘People’s President,’ a mobile app will be launched on Tuesday by the honourable Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Ram Naik at the AKTU. The app is designed to provide free short-term educational courses which give information about villages, social and national development, scientific thought and Indian Constitution.

According to the planned schedule, the second day of the youth seminar event at AKTU will see the esteem of Nobel laureate Kailash Satyarthi, the famous Indian Social entrepreneur-Arunachalam Muruganantham, Bollywood actress -Dia Mirza, former Indian cricketer-Javagal Srinath, Journalist-Ravish Kumar, former chief election commissioner-SY Qureshi and others.

Reportedly, the AKTU University also has an idea to adopt a village near the institute, organise blood donation campaign, plantation drives on college campuses. The plans also include tagging of trees and checking out the growth of the trees by the new mobile application. In addition, the plans to take up cleanliness campaign in the nearby village and very surprisingly the plans also involve an innovation project for resolving issues of villagers and helping the miserable.
