The admissions for LKG and class 1 to Karnataka schools under Right to Education Act will begin today. Parents are worrying about their Childs admission can follow these guidelines to get admissions in Karnataka. The process will be on online, and the Aadhaar card is mandatory to eliminate any risk of duplication in the application process.

To get admissions in Karnataka Schools, the child must have an Aadhaar card for applying under RTE.  The preference is given to the children of farmer who have committed suicide.

Department of Public Instruction (DPI) decided to include the children of a deceased farmer in the list of disadvantaged category. This will help such children access to proper schooling. The Assistant Director of the Agriculture Department needs to verify and state in case of farmer suicide.

Aadhaar card is compulsory for the children who are applying for RTE quota seats. Registrations for RTE admissions will not be complete without the aadhaar number.

The application will start from today for 1.3lakh seats for LKG and class 1 at private-aided schools. The applications are available until March 31, so soon complete your application process. Presently, the official portal of Department of Public Instruction (DPI) for school education in Karnataka hosts the trail link for the application process.

P.C. Jaffer, State project director, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, said that they are planning for online complaint mechanism to address grievance of parents. He also added that parents could apply to the school in the adjoining wards, but preference would be given to schools within the ward.
