To encourage customers, Airtel Payments Bank informed that it would provide talk-time offers to its new clients those who have new savings accounts. It will provide one minute of talk-time (within its network) for every rupee deposited by the customers.
This offer is applicable on first-time deposits only, Airtel said in a statement. Any customer who can open new savings accounts with Airtel Payments Bank get one minute of talk time on his/her Airtel Mobile for every rupee deposited.

Meanwhile, if a customer opens an account with a deposit of Rs 1000, then that person will get a talk time of Rs 1000 on his/her Airtel mobile number. The free talk time can be used for calling all over India, Airtel said in a statement.
Airtel Payments bank CEO Shashi Arora said, “We are leveraging Airtel’s telecom network to take banking services to the feet of every Indian. We are also undertaking a massive drive to register over one lakh merchants in Rajasthan by this year-end, who won’t be charged anything for accepting digital payments from Airtel Payments Bank customers.”

Airtel believes this enhancement will woo the digital payments system and reduce dependence on cash, he added. On November 23, Airtel Payments Bank had started banking services in Rajasthan, becoming first payments bank to go live in the country.
Airtel Payment bank comes at a time when the Government is making a determined push for a less-cash economy through demonetisation of high-value notes.
