 Whatsapp Will Not Support to Few Smartphones After December 31

Bad news for Whatsapp users. The Giant messaging app will not be providing their services to a few smartphones after December 31, 2016. Whatsapp officially confirmed the news, and if you are using older smartphones, this year-end would likely be the last date for you to use Whatsapp.

Whatsapp is the most popular messaging application which is using by more than 95 percent people in India. If you have a smartphone, undoubtedly Whatsapp is the first application to install in it. The App is using by all smartphones users globally to send Text Messages, Photos Audio, and video files. However, bad news is that few smartphone users won’t be access to Whatsapp by the end of this year. Latest update is that few older smartphones with different Operating Systems will not be able to use Whatsapp by December 31, 2016.

According to the statement released by the popular Messenger earlier this year, the messaging app will no longer have support for a few Windows, Symbian, BBOs, Android and IOS operating systems. However these phones completely blocked Whatsapp, but they may lose many upcoming features.

Whatsapp had already announced that December 31, 2016, will be the last day to provide services to some older smartphones. The smartphones having older OS’s like Android, IOS, Windows, BBOs and Symbian will be affected. The move from Whatsapp came due to an increase of using smartphones rather than feature phones. Mobile market Predictions said that from 2017, feature phones would be surpassed by the smartphones from next year to put an end to feature phones completely.

Google Allo will be Available in Hindi by the end of 2016

Google is going to announce the upcoming feature that is mostly welcomed by the Indian users. Before this, the Google Assistant has launched its Google Allo English-speaking app in India recently.

Today, they announced the details of second language Hindi which they are going to launch by the end of 2016. This means users will be able to converse the Google’s new Al-based Assistant in Hindi.

 Google Assistant is the new Al-based Assistant that was launched earlier this year. Instead of asking pre-programmed questions, now users can able to make a proper conversation with the assistant. If you ask Google a query and then follow up with more questions, the Assistant will automatically read the conversion and reply the correct answer.

Google Allo, the Tough Rival of Whatsapp Launched : Check out the Features

The announcement came after the Google added support for Hinglish (which is a mixture of English and Hindi) for Google Assistant in the Allo messaging app which was launched last week in India. With the upcoming feature, now users can chat with the Al in Hindi as well soon after it released.

“A preview of the Google Assistant will be launched in Hindi by the end of 2016 inside the brand new Allo messaging app. The Google Assistant lets users have a conversation with Google, which can help them get things done,” said by Amit Fulay, Group Product Manager for Allo.

According to the reports, Google’s other new communication effort the video calling with Google Duo App has also got an amazing response from India. Google focused more on going local which helps to increase the number of users.

Microsoft is Working on Messaging app called Skype Teams

Google Allo messaging app is not different than Whatsapp, and moreover, Whatsapp has already supported the Hindi language. But one differentiating point that gives Google Allo an edge over the Whatsapp is that the Al client option that is built right into the app.

Google also estimates that the usage of internet in India has increased more since the years and out of them most will prefer local language. India is the fastest growing internet market in the world.

“Through Allo and its support for Hindi, Google is looking to offer better and more relevant Google experiences for Indians,” the company further said in a statement.

Microsoft is Working on Messaging app called Skype Teams

Microsoft is still struggling to become a strong competitor for the group messaging apps like Slack and HipChat. Slack, is a messaging app for teams that has been quite popular recently. Now Microsoft is working on direct Slack competitor under the Skype brand.

MSPowerUser reports that the Redmond giant is now working on the Skye Teams, a group chat app for businesses. Skype Teams is going to be the Microsoft’s new messaging app for teams. Skype Teams app includes a lot of similar features that will find on the Slack.

For example, Slack allows to chat in different groups within a team which is also known as “Channels”. The new additional feature included is, the users will be able to talk to each other via Direct Message option on Skype Teams.

It also features “Threaded conversations” which is a major feature that is lacking on Slack. With Threaded conversations, one can reply to the message on a channel by just clicking on the reply button and anyone can join the conversation whenever they want. This feature is quite similar to the Facebook comments and Disqus comments.

Microsoft is adding a feature of Giphy integration on Skype Teams called “The Fun Picker”, where you can add Gifs from Giphy, emojis, Memes and a lot more. Microsoft is not leaving out some features of Skype on Skype Teams. Similar to Skype, teams also have a facility of video calling privately or in a channel. The company is adding the feature to schedule the online meetings, which will be helpful for large teams.

Skype Teams will also provide the user to share files, notes, etc. and making the chatting experience even better. It will also integrate with the Microsoft services like OneDrive and Office 365. It also supports Skype’s Bot Framework, which allows the developers to extend the app functionality with their own services.

Microsoft wants to get the Skype Teams on all devices and is planning to release a web and a Window app. The company is planning to launch the Skype Teams on iOS, Android and Windows phones.

He added, “We won’t post or share your WhatsApp number with others, including on Facebook, and we still won’t sell, share, or give your phone number to advertisers.”
