Renault Lodgy World Edition Launched at Rs.9.74 Lakh

The French Automaker company Renault had launched new editions of their multi-purpose vehicle Renault Lodgy. The latest variant in the Indian line-up is coming with a badge calling “World Edition”.
Renault will offer this new world edition of the car in 8-seater iteration of the both 85 PS and 110 PS variants.

The price range of these two iterations available at 9.74 lakh and 10.40 lakh (Ex-Showroom Price New Delhi) respectively. This Lodgy new model receives “25 new enhancements” which includes for its interior and exterior. The car remains largely unchanged apart from the new enhancements.

Sumit Sawhney, CEO and MD, Renault India Operations says, “Since its launch, Lodgy has been steadily gaining thrust in India despite the challenges faced in the MPV segment. We have thousands of happy families experiencing Lodgy and testifying to its superior attributes. With the Lodgy World Edition, we will further augment Lodgy’s value proposition and appeal, with distinctive exterior and interior enhancements which reflect evolving customer trends, coupled with the superior performance, safety, comfort, space and unmatched fuel efficiency that has become a hallmark of the Lodgy range.”

He added, “We will continue to engage the customers with this segment-defining product and Lodgy will play a crucial role in our growth plans in India, along with other volume drivers.”

Regarding the exterior changes, the new world edition Renault Lodgy sports, which is improved with a jewel-studded front grill. The fog lamps are garnish with the chrome satin; there is a two-tone Aerodynamic bumper, black wheel-arch cladding and R15 Nepta finish alloy wheels and the car got the ‘World Edition’ badge.

The car also receives the body graphics and the dual tone roof rails with the satin chrome finish, printed matte and textured B&C pillar stripping along with the rear spoiler.

The New editions of Renault Lodgy World Edition will be available in four different colours namely Royal Orchid, Pearl White, Fiery Red and Moonlight Silver.

Volkswagen Teams up with LG to Develop an Innovative Connected Car Platform

The Volkswagen Group and LG Electronics team up to develop connected car technology. Both the companies had signed a joint note of understanding on mutual research and development for the “next-generation” connected car service platform.

This new partnership on connected car platforms integrates more elements of owner’s personal life.

The companies would work together on the Volkswagen’s cross-over that looks like SUVs. The main aim is to enhance the connectivity and convenience of both the drivers and passengers. This developed technology allows cars that are connected to Cloud Technology to help passengers to integrate with smart-home control, messaging, infotainment and location services

“Volkswagen is pressing on with the digitalization of its brands. Our focus in doing so is always to our customers. For them, comfort, safety, and energy efficiency play a central role. Both the companies are working with each other since 2007, LG supplies audio and visual products for VW vehicles. And now this agreement is an instance of their long-lasting relationship. Over the years LG has built up a reputation for reliability and innovation in technology. As stated by the Volkswagen, the most critical element of the new platform would be how information and notifications are delivered and how content is accessed.

“LG Electronics and Volkswagen are teaming up to develop the next generation connected car platform that allows deep integration with smart-home services and adoption of open [Internet of Things] connectivity technologies. We think LG’s expertise in smart technology, together with Volkswagen’s leadership in the automotive sector, will revolutionise the way drivers interact with their vehicles,” stated Richard Choi, head of the LG’s Cloud Center at the announcement.

Italdesign Guigiaro, a subsidiary of Volkswagen launched its GEA concept car in March 2015 at the Geneva Motor Show.

Seven key components of the car were developed by LG, which includes holographic display, connected smart watch, tail lights and rear camera.

Volkswagen then selected LG as their strategic electronics supplier in the month of July and was also made it as a partner company on its FAST (Future Automotive Supply Tracks) program.

First Look Of 2018 Mercedes-AMG GT-R

The much awaited 2018 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT-R made its first public appearance last weekend, at Goodwood Festival of Speed 2016. Its sibling Mercedes-AMG GT S which was awarded as the Best Driver’s Car last year is claimed as “the best sports car Mercedes have ever built.” Now, the all new AMG GT-R which was launched by the Auto Nation Group Inc. at Mercedes-Benz Greenhill showroom is expected to reach U.S. dealers by mid-2017.

Mercedes GT-R was earlier showcased in the month of November 2015 and its global debt in 2016 was also informed at the time. This comfortable is mostly inspired by the Mercedes Motor sports car, GT-3 class racing. GT-R resembles the Nissan Godzilla. So, now let’s go in to the features of the GT-R. “Beast of the Green Hell,” it was developed on the Nurburgring.

GoodWood Festival of Speed 2016 : Visual Feast for Automobile Fans

Mercedes AMG GT-R at the launch event exhibited “AMG Green Hell Mango,” shade which attracted the auto lovers. Well, this supercar boasts a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 that produces 577 horse power and 516 lb-ft of torque. And the car is expected to bag 60 mph in 3.5 seconds, while its top speed is rated at 198 mph.

The front fenders of the AMG GT-R are made of carbon fiber and 1.8 inches wider than the GT-S. And the rear fenders are 2.2 inches aluminium extensions, while Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires cover the standard 19-inch front wheels and 20-inch rear wheels. Mercedes says that the power is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed automatic transaxle.

Rear wheel steering system and the chassis are upgraded. And the AMG seats are wrapped in Nappa leather. And an adaptive suspension system is also in the list along a traction control with nine programmable levels. BMW Unveils The Beautiful Sculpture at Goodwood Festival of Speed 2016

Each year Goodwood Festival of Speed is celebrated. For the year 2016, BMW has confirmed as the central feature marque. The symbol of the Festival of Speed for 200,000 fans has unveiled at the show by the BMW.

Every year since 1997, the Goodwood Festival of Speed is organised, and the sculpture is displayed by one of the motor company in this event. The sculpture resembles the companies grace and the milestones reached by the firm. In this year anniversary the honoured carmaker, BMW has hosted the sculpture for reaching 100 years in their business.

BWM sculpture is unveiled, and this sculpture contains the finest and classics that had showed off in which three of them were attached at the end of three curves in the structure. BMW 328 Mille Miglia Roadster, Brabham-BMW BT52 & BMW V12 LMR. These are the three cars that are included in the structure.

The BMW 328 Mille Miglia Roadster is the car balanced close to the roof at Goodwood House, and it is the one which is upright. And the other cars are upside down for the great effect. Gerry Judah, the British designer who had planned all the central feature installations at the Goodwood Festival. He is the main persona and collaborated with BMW on this design of the centenary-celebrating structure.

The Mercedes sculpture of 2014 arched all the way in the festival of speed at Goodwood House.

Porche unveiled the sculpture regarding the 50th anniversary of the Porche 911. We can observe the Porsche 911, Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 and Porsche 911 991 these cars in the sculpture.

For the year 2012, Lotus hosted the sculpture at the Goodwood festival of speed. These cars are the attraction for the event

2011 Jaguar Cars

Jaguar Cars hosted the sculpture with the Jaguar E-Type which makes the highlight in the entire event. Celebrations of the 50 years of Jaguar E-Type car is the primary theme of hosting the sculpture.

The Goodwood Festival of Speed is a yearly event of hill climbing of famous motor racing vehicles. The event was hosted in the grounds of Goodwood House, West Sussex, England usually in the month June or July. The event would be featuring legendary cars, Bikes making it an eye feast to all the Racing fans.

Glastonbury Festival 2016: The Complete Picture of Performing Events

The date of this Motor racing festival is scheduled in a way to avoid collision with the F1 season. This makes all the Formula one cars, motorbikes to participate in the event.
The festival was first launched in the year 1993 by Lord March with the aim to bring motor racing back to the Goodwood estate — a location steeped in British motor racing history.

In 1990 after acquiring the land Lord March thought of bringing the Motor racing to Goodwood Circuit, but he didn’t have required permits for hosting a race in that place. So, he hosted the event on his grounds with a small selection of entrants made up of invited legendary vehicles, the first event that took place on Sunday 13 June proved to be a success, bearing in an attendance of 25,000 despite a collision with the 24 Hours of Le Mans that year.
After the date clash in the first event, March made sure that the festival wouldn’t be colliding with other activities like Le Mans or Formula One races.
In 1994 by adding Saturday, the Festival was made a weekend event and a year later in 1996, the weekend event was further extended as a three-day event adding Friday. In 2010, the Moving Motor Show was added on Thursday.
