Reliance Jio, who created waves in telecom circle with its 4G LTE services, became a major part for mobile users. Reliance Jio has already broken the record for its 4G LTE services and became a hot topic and challenging for other mobile telecom operators.

Now, the Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio Infocomm is all set to launch DTH services on December 15, 2016, at an affordable price. According to the latest reports, service subscription will be free for first six months similar to the Jio ‘Welcome Offer’.

Reliance Jio DTH services will be available for a starting price of Rs. 185 per month. Latest reports said that the DTH service would come in the form of a high-speed optical Fibre, pushing speeds up to 1Gbps. The company’s DTH service will also offer customers get access to high-speed internet and a host of Jio services.

Reliance has already done a lot of groundwork to lay down Fibre optic cables across the main cities in India. The company is set to offer Fiber to the Home (FTTH) services with speeds up to 1Gbps, and it has already started a limited trial program in cities like Mumbai and Delhi. Earlier this year during the launch of Reliance Jio 4G services, Ambani has promised to launch Reliance Jio DTH services and finally it is coming in this December.

The pack will include a set-top-box, Android smart box or Apple TV that helps to control the content and also play games. The company DTH services might be called as JioTV, which will offer more than 360 channels and in those 50 of which will be in HD.

The company is going to launch various combo packs in India. The South Indian channel combo will be pricing at Rs. 195 per month and sports channel combo pack will be available at Rs. 210 which offers channels like Star, Zee TV, Colors, and Sony.
