Ahead of its arrival in India later this year, the company commenced the sale of the 2017 Toyota Vios in Thailand recently. The new sedan comes with an international appearance with revised styling and a new look in the global markets.
The new styling indication and the cosmetic updates have borrowed from the new-generation Toyota Camry. It recently launched at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show. 2017 Toyota Vios gets a new projecting nose and also along with redesigned bumpers. With its lot more black which adds to the sporty look.
In addition to this, the 2017 Toyota Vios gets new horizontal sweptback headlamps, LED daytime running lights and projector lamps. The new bumper look of sedan looked well designed and embedded with vertical LED DRLs on either end. With the subtle lines that allow the seamlessly flow into A-pillar.
Add to some revamped interiors, which come with climate control, a touch-screen infotainment system which can connect to a smartphone and steering-mounted audio controls. On the exterior front, the car looks more stylish and proportionate. 2017 Toyota Vios sports slightly flared wheel arches, bold lines and sportier alloys.
The new Toyota Vios gets a large wraparound LED taillamps with sleek chrome strip and Toyota logo above it. Under the hood, the 2017 Toyota Vios powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine that produces 108bhp and develops 140Nm torque.
Globally the 2017 Toyota Vios also comes with a 1.4-litre diesel engine with the standard five-speed transmission and 4-speed automatic gearbox. Currently this model available for sale in Thailand in four trims namely J, E, G and S.
The company commenced the Toyota Vios Price of basic one at 609,000 baht (Rs. 11,77,947 approx) and top-end trim priced at 789,000 baht (Rs. 15,26,109 approx). The 2017 Toyota Vios has spotted in India several times while undergoing testing process. It will soon go on sale in India as per the reports. Once it launched, it may become competition for its rivals Hyundai Verna, Honda City and Skoda Rapid.
